Dear Parishioners:

Today we celebrate the feast of the Ascension where Jesus commanded his apostles to go out and teach all nations and baptize. But before they did this, they needed the help and power of the Holy Spirit. They went back to Jerusalem and prayed for the Holy Spirit. This week we are called to pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit that we will celebrate this year on May 10/11, Pentecost Sunday. Included in the bulletin are prayers for the Holy Spirit. Mary prayed with the Apostles for the Holy Spirit. We continue to honor Mary throughout May by joining with her to pray the rosary that the Spirit of Peace may renew the face of the earth.
